Who you are:

You are a talented and experienced Product Designer ready to join our remote team in an Agile environment.

This role will be focused on crafting excellent experiences for our students to discover and apply for the best scholarships. You’ll collaborate closely with our cross-functional team consisting of a product manager and engineers. You’ll also play a key role in driving product discovery in order to identify and deliver on our students’ needs.

What you will do:


  • Drive discovery and planning with your PM partner on immediate roadmaps and longer-term strategies.
  • Lead and support user experience research and testing to validate designs, get user feedback, and see opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Run sprints to work quickly through synthesizing insights and solution iterations with regular contact with users throughout.
  • Execute detailed and thorough designs accounting for edge cases and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with your immediate team consisting of a product manager, and engineers.
  • Extend the detailed design system including typography, layout, and iconography for software engineers to implement.



Qualifications and Competences:

  • Relevant work experience as a Product Designer for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Prior experience designing for rich Web apps.
  • Strong visual/UI design skills on web, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Excellent interaction design and visual craft skills including some experience with prototyping.
  • Ownership mindset with a bias towards action, helping to drive teams and projects forward.
  • Proficient in Figma and in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience leading products from discovery through shipping/iteration.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and identify opportunities.
  • Steadfast empathy for our users, their lives, and what they hope to gain from using ScholarshipOwl.
  • Meticulous and diligent.
