What You’ll Do
As an SDR at ScholarshipOwl, you’ll play a key role in fueling our growth by generating and qualifying leads for our sales team. Your day-to-day will include:
Researching and identifying potential business prospects across multiple channels (LinkedIn, databases, online tools, etc.)
Performing outbound outreach via cold calls, emails, and social media to connect with decision-makers
Qualifying leads by understanding their goals and aligning them with our solutions
Scheduling discovery calls and passing qualified leads to Account Executives
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM
Tracking and reporting key activity metrics (calls, emails, meetings booked, etc.)
Collaborating closely with sales and marketing to refine targeting and messaging
Job requirements
What You Bring
We’re not expecting you to know everything, so we’re looking for someone eager to learn, contribute, and grow. You’ll be a great fit if you have:
A strong interest in sales, business development, or marketing
Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and generating leads
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This role requires spoken and written fluency in English, as it is the primary language used for communication within the team and with clients.
A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to take initiative
Resilience and a positive attitude, even when facing rejection
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfort using or learning lead-generation tools like LinkedIn, HubSpot, as well as email automation platforms
Familiarity with or interest in using large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT to boost productivity and enhance outreach
A team-oriented attitude showing that you’re excited to collaborate and celebrate wins together
Bonus if you have:
Prior experience in customer service, sales, and/or marketing
Familiarity with Gen Z trends or interest in education, scholarships, or student engagement
